Central New Delhi: imported street coverageReal OpenStreetMap street outlines inside the current import extent. Amber streets were tagged as lit in the source; this does not confirm their present condition. North is up.
Named street outlines from OpenStreetMap. Amber marks streets tagged as lit in the import; it does not verify a working light today. The dashed line shows the imported area. © OpenStreetMap contributors

Every layer has a source.

The import boundary covers part of central New Delhi, not the whole city. A street beyond it may have no usable baseline. Walking routes depend on the available street graph and can be unavailable outside its coverage.

Only the datasets below are part of this report. Municipal lighting inventories and GTFS service-frequency feeds are not currently included. OpenFreeMap supplies the display basemap, which is separate from Aloka’s condition evidence.

Listings with a contradictory city address are excluded. Source listings are not community confirmations.

Snapshot and import dates do not establish when each streetlight or venue was last checked. Published opening hours can be incomplete or stale. Read how uncertainty affects the glow.

1 Lantern recorded in New Delhi, including observations still awaiting corroboration.

Open data gives this map a beginning. A Lantern adds what someone actually saw: lighting, activity, sightlines, and nearby open venues. Community evidence appears only after the verification and anonymity thresholds are met.

Be among the first Lightkeepers. Start with a public place you know, check the conditions in person, and leave a structured observation. There are no public trails of individual contributors.
